Ask Barbara - Nadya

I've noticed over the last few years that around the time of the Autumn equinox things seem to change, old cycles are broken, new ventures are started, new jobs, friendships etc, why is change so predominant at this time of year and is there any manifiestation rituals we should be doing to aplify the positive energy during this period?' - Nadya D Dear Nadya,
So wonderful to know you are naturally walking the wheel of the year! You have an awareness of the deep knowing within you that recognises the harmony of Nature's cycles within and without your body. The Autumn Equinox, or Mabon, is when day and night are balanced. Everything natural starts to slow down to concentrate on gathering the fruits of life that we have nurtured since last year's harvest time. During this time of thanksgiving, the Earth mother (Gaia, Danu, and Arnemetia are among her many ancient local names) gives to Her children abundance and great nourishment. We experience a renewed understanding of fruitfulness from within our souls. As we transition through Samhain, or All Hallows Eve, we prepare our selves to be reborn as our wise and timeless souls.

For your ritual of gratitude, create a sacred space for manifestating all your hopes, desires and dreams. The best time to do this is at the time of the full moon. Take a dark green, orange, or red candle and place it on your altar, along with fruit, flowers, or fallen leaves. It's also lovely to have incense of rosemary or sandalwood.  Light your candles, and create your sacred space by casting a circle around you. Then light your incense and call on your spirit guides, angels, and goddess to come and help you. Become very focused on what it is that you want to manifest into your life. Visualise yourself in a forest. Feel yourself becoming one with the forest. Feel its growth, feel the earth beneath your feet, and root yourself into the earth.  Feel your roots reaching down to the source of water and drink. Then feel your body growing and becoming a tree. What kind of tree are you? As you start to grow towards the sun, feel the fire within your body. Allow the wind to blow through your branches that are reaching up to the sky. You are calling on the elements of earth, water, fire, and air to become one within you. Now call on the spirits of the elements to come and work with you to manifest what it is you so desire.

The forest keeps growing when it is fed with all the elements, and so do we. Autumn is our time for healing ourselves and our planet, for as you deeply know, Nadya, we are truly connected as one.
